Ouessant - The end of the world
I've just uploaded two series of pictures of the tiny French Island called Ouessant. This amazing and quite extreme island is situated at the west of the westernest point of Brittany. It is thus said to be the westernest point of "France métropolitaine", that is without the oversea territories. Nature is at its wildest with severe weather most of the year (strong winds, huge waves and heavy rainfalls). But it also means that the sky and the light are extremely changeable, which offer unlimited opportunities for photography! :) The thing is, when you see the map stuck on the wall of the small ferry terminal on the continental harbour from where boats come, which shows quite descriptively the positions of tens of wrecked ships all around the island, you're suddenly not so sure about going any more... And a ferry had just got stuck in the rocks a few weeks earlier! Anyway, I was there in September 2013, and I loved so much the place that I was quite unable to produce just one series for the website. So you'll find one selection of pictures in black and white and one selection in colour. Feel free to tell me which series speaks most to you guys! ;) Until next time, take care! Sébastien
